Your Skin Procedure Appointment: What to Expect

Preparing for your appointment

Review your care plan to understand the next steps your Tia provider recommended for your skin procedure. No additional prep is needed.

During your appointment

This in-clinic procedure is usually about 30 minutes. Your Tia provider will explain the procedure and answer questions before starting. Depending on your specific skin concern, the visit may include a biopsy (numbing the area and removing a small sample for testing) or cryotherapy (using liquid nitrogen to freeze and treat abnormal tissue).ood.

After your appointment

Procedures usually require little to no downtime. Your provider will share aftercare guidance with you to help you care for the treated area at home.

If you had a biopsy, your provider will send your sample to the lab and will share results and next steps once they’re available (usually in 1-2 weeks).

Your care plan will be updated to reflect follow-up recommendations (which may include repeat treatment or referral to a dermatologist) and ongoing skin health support.
