Who should get a Skin Procedure?

This visit is for patients who have seen a Tia primary care provider for a skin concern and were recommended a procedure like a biopsy, cryotherapy, or treatment of a spot, lesion, wart, or precancerous growth.

Symptoms we care for

Following an evaluation of your skin, your Tia provider may recommend a Skin Procedure to address concerns like:

• Suspicious moles or growths
• Precancerous or abnormal lesions
• Painful or bothersome warts or other skin changes

If your care requires more advanced procedures or specialized follow-up, your Tia provider will refer you to a dermatologist.

How the Skin Procedure can help:

• Provides answers by testing suspicious spots for skin cancer or other conditions
• Removes or treats bothersome warts, precancerous lesions, or other abnormal tissue quickly in-clinic

Insurance and Pricing

Is this covered by insurance?

Yes! Tia will bill your insurance for your visit. Just like at any doctor’s office, you may be responsible for a co-pay or coinsurance, depending on your health plan.

If you have a biopsy, the sample is sent to Quest Diagnostics. Quest will bill your insurance directly for the lab testing, and you may receive a bill for any remaining balance depending on your coverage.
