FAQs

Why am I not getting pregnant?

There is no single answer to this question, which is why a personalized plan is so important. Many factors can affect your ability to get pregnant, from ovulation timing and nutrition to underlying medical conditions or lifestyle. During your appointment, we’ll work together to understand the full picture of your health and create a tailored plan to help you feel more confident in your journey.

What is the difference between this and a Fertility Assessment?

A TTC appointment is for those who are actively trying to conceive and need a personalized action plan and guidance on how to optimize their chances of getting pregnant. A Fertility Assessment is an educational appointment for anyone who is not actively trying to conceive but wants to be proactive and understand their reproductive health.

Do you provide fertility testing or referrals?

We offer a full range of services for those trying to conceive. Your provider can order bloodwork fertility testing or an ultrasound to help identify potential issues. If you require advanced care, we can provide a trusted referral to a fertility specialist, such as a reproductive endocrinologist.

How long does it take to typically get pregnant?

While it varies for everyone, most couples conceive within one year of trying. However, if you are under 35 and have been trying for 12 months, or over 35 and have been trying for 6 months, it may be a good time to book an appointment to discuss your specific needs.

Does Tia offer emotional support for those trying to conceive?

Yes. We understand that the TTC journey can be physically and emotionally challenging. Your provider will be your partner, offering support and guidance to help you navigate the process. Our integrated care model means we can connect you with mental health services to support you if you are experiencing stress or anxiety.
