How the Acne, Rash, and Skin Changes appointment can help

  • Get to the Root Cause - We look past surface symptoms to investigate underlying triggers like hormonal shifts, stress, or gut health that may be driving your acne, eczema, or rash.
  • Clear, Personalized Treatment Options - Receive an evidence-based plan that includes options for prescriptions (like topical or oral medications), labs to check for root causes, or non-medication approaches.
  • Whole-Body Skin Support - We treat your skin health as part of your overall well-being. If you're exploring clinical wrinkle care or aesthetic treatments (like chemical peels), your plan will be tailored to your goals—with zero pressure.
  • Seamless Specialty Referrals - For conditions that need more advanced specialist care, we'll coordinate a smooth referral to a trusted dermatologist.

The Tia Difference:

1. Skin Health is Whole Health

We take your skin seriously because it’s part of your health, not separate from it. Our care is integrated into your complete health plan.

2. Expert-Led Medical Care & Aesthetic Options

This appointment focuses on medical care for conditions like acne, eczema, and rashes, delivered by specialty-trained primary care providers (MDs, NPs, and PAs).

3. Beyond the Quick Fix

We offer real medical care for real symptoms, working with you over time to understand the root cause of your skin issues, instead of just putting a band-aid on them.

Insurance and Pricing

Is this covered by insurance?

Your insurance will be billed for medical skin care services, like treating acne or a rash - but a copay, coinsurance, or other out-of-pocket costs may apply based on your insurance plan. However, aesthetic services, like chemical peels or clinical wrinkle care, are not covered by insurance and are paid for out-of-pocket.

If not, what is out of pocket cost? We are clear and transparent about pricing. Out-of-pocket costs are detailed here. Tia also offers Predictable Payments so cost is not a barrier to your health.

FAQs

Will I be seeing a board-certified dermatologist for my exam?

No, you will be seeing a Tia primary care provider (a Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, or Doctor) who has received specialized training in dermatology. They are equipped to handle many skin concerns. If your condition requires the care of a board-certified dermatologist, our team will provide a referral.

Can I get medications for my acne or rash?

Absolutely. Our providers can order labs, provide prescriptions for medications, and recommend supplements or lifestyle interventions when clinically appropriate.

How does Tia's approach connect my skin health to the rest of my body?

We treat your skin as part of your whole health. We're trained to connect the dots between your skin symptoms and factors like your hormones, stress, and sleep, to get to the root cause of the issue.

Can I get an injection for an active breakout?

Yes, we offer acne injections for active breakouts as part of our aesthetic skin care services. This is booked as an Acne Injection visit.

Does Tia offer aesthetic services?

We do! We offer neurotoxins (like Botox), medical-grade chemical peels, and microneedling - all completed by specialty trained and licensed medical providers. Please note - aesthetic services are not covered by insurance.

Acne, rashes, and other skin changes can affect both comfort and confidence, sometimes without a clear reason. A visit for these concerns helps identify what’s causing your symptoms, whether it’s hormones, allergies, irritation, or an underlying skin condition. We’ll look at your history, lifestyle, and triggers to understand the root cause, then build a personalized treatment plan to calm inflammation, clear your skin, and help you feel comfortable in it again.
