Who is not a good fit for this appointment?

You may not be a good fit if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have certain neurological disorders, such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome
  • Have an allergy to botulinum toxin or its ingredients
  • Have an active infection at the injection site
  • Are taking certain medications like blood thinners or muscle relaxants
Who delivers this care?

Tia only uses NPs & PAs with injection experience who have passed Tia’s competency standards to deliver excellent care. They will take your whole health into account when considering your goals and preferences.

Can I use insurance for Clinical Wrinkle Care?

This is a cosmetic service and therefore not covered by insurance. For more details on cost, see our Service List.

Do I have to be a Tia member to receive wrinkle care?

Yes, this service is available to members only.

Are the injections painful?

Most people describe the injections as causing only mild discomfort. The sensation is often compared to a small pinch or tiny prick. The needles used are very fine, and the injections are typically quick. 

To make the experience more comfortable, you’ll be offered some ice to numb the area before the injection. Any discomfort usually subsides quickly after the treatment.

Can I have a wrinkle care visit on the same day as another type of Tia visit?

Before a wrinkle care appointment, you can book any visit.

After a wrinkle care visit, you can book any visit except acupuncture: you should not have an acupuncture visit for 24 hours after your wrinkle care appointment, as you shouldn’t be lying on your face for a prolonged period directly after your treatment.

What areas can I treat?

At Tia, we treat upper face (forehead lines, frown lines, eyebrow lift, crow's feet, bunny lines) and lower face (lip lines, masseters, lip flip, smile lift, dimpled chin). Your provider will work with you to create a custom injection plan.
