What payment types do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB or UnionPay. We do not accept cash or checks at this time.
How does group therapy differ from individual therapy?
Group therapy differs from individual therapy most obviously through the ratio of therapist to participants. In individual therapy, a therapist is working one on one with their patient. In group therapy, a therapist can be working with 2+ patients at a given time.
Please note Tia does not offer 1v1 Talk Therapy at this time.
Does Tia provide abortion services?
Tia provides medication abortion as allowed by law. Today, we provide medication abortion via a virtual visit in New York and California. Depending on a patient’s needs, we can provide education and counseling covering any and all options – including parenting, adoption, and pregnancy termination – and offer mental health support (if needed) and well-coordinated care with other trusted, high-quality providers for services we do not provide ourselves.
Who shouldn’t get the flu shot?
You should not get the flu shot if you: Have a history of severe reactions to the influenza shot, have a history of Guillian Barre Syndrome, are acutely ill/sick at the time of your appointment. At Tia, we carry egg-free vaccines for anyone dealing with that allergy!
Do you offer free memberships?
We are committed to making quality healthcare more accessible to all women, and believe that the cost of the membership at Tia should not be a barrier to quality women’s care.
We understand that a membership fee can be cost-prohibitive for some, and do waive membership fees for those that qualify for a low-income waiver or due to financial hardship. Tia uses the housing department's definition of "Area Median Income" (AMI) in your city as the qualifier for "low-income." Any person whose income falls under the median income is eligible to apply for a waived Tia membership fee.
