What depth of chemical peel does Tia offer?
Chemical peels are classified based on how deeply they penetrate the skin layers and include superficial, medium-depth and deep. The deeper the penetration, the greater the overall exfoliation and cellular regeneration.
Tia exclusively offers medium-depth, medical-grade chemical peels for the face and medium-depth, professional-grade peels for the body. A medium-depth peel goes beyond surface issues without the significant downtime that can exist with deep peels.
Which peels does Tia offer?

How long do the results last?
The duration of your results depends on many factors, which you and your provider will discuss. For most skin concerns, the most common treatment cadence is 3 treatments, spaced 1 month apart. After this initial treatment window, most patients come back for treatment once every 3-6 months.
Which providers deliver this care?
Tia uses specialty trained licensed advanced practice clinicians (NPs & PAs) to deliver this care.
Who isn’t a good fit for this appointment?
To ensure your safety, we don’t offer chemical peels to patients who:
- Have an allergy to phenol or aspirin
- Have active infections or open wounds in the treatment area
- Have used Accutane within the past six months
- Have immune system disorders under active treatment
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
What can I expect?
Each treatment lasts around 15-20 minutes and begins with your provider reviewing your skin care needs and any relevant health history. Based on your goals and skin type, your provider will select a chemical peel formula and will apply the peel in layers.
Your provider will give you a take-home kit with post-treatment instructions and skin care products for after-care. Included in the kit is a QR code for the VI Peel App, which helps you care for your skin and track your progress.
You may notice some flaking by day 2 and peeling by days 3–5. By day 6, the peeling will ease; by day 7, most patients have stopped peeling.
I’m not exactly sure what I need. How will my Care Plan be formulated?
How you address your skin care goals is a deeply personal choice. Your Tia provider is here to thoroughly understand your objectives and preferences, and take your whole health into account when considering results. At the start of every visit, you and your provider will align on your goals and your treatment plan, with you always in the driver’s seat.
