Alisson Sombredero, MD
National Medical Director, She/herDr. Sombredero is a Colombian-born doctor with over 15 years of experience treating patients, especially patients experiencing cultural barriers to care & from underserved communities. She finds meaning helping diverse communities reach the best state of wellbeing possible, and provides patients an empowering, safe environment in which to work together to meet their health goals. She has extensive training and background in HIV education & care, and completed residency training at Alameda Health System in Oakland, CA, where she saw firsthand the systemic struggles many minority groups face when receiving medical care. Most recently, she served as the Chief Medical Officer at San Francisco Community Health Center where she led Tenderloin-based clinical expansion & quality improvement projects as well as focusing on care for trans & gender non-conforming patients and community health.
