Is Red Light Therapy right for me?

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that enhances energy production & recovery, rejuvenates skin, relieves pain and inflammation, and much more

It works by targeting the mitochondria in the body’s cell (the cell’s energy source) and assisting in blood flow and cell regeneration.

It is quick, painless, and effective – making it easy to fit into your regular routine.

Red Light Therapy FAQs

Does Red Light Therapy hurt?

Not at all—RLT is painless, non-invasive, and requires no downtime afterward.

How long is a Red Light Therapy session?

The session includes a 20-minute visit with 5-15 minutes of active Red Light exposure depending on your goals.

How many Red Light Therapy sessions do I need?

Red Light Therapy works best with consistency. We recommend 3–5 sessions per week for optimal results.

Is Red Light Therapy safe for everyone?

While RLT is generally safe for everyone, we recommend avoiding RLT and/or consulting a provider prior to RLT if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a history of low blood pressure, epilepsy, seizures, malignant tissue, tumors, or cancer
  • Have light sensitivity or take photosensitizing medications (e.g., lithium, melatonin, doxycycline, Accutane)
  • Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
  • Have thyroid conditions or lupus
  • Have conditions affecting the retina
How do I prepare for my Red Light Therapy visit?

We recommend wearing light or loose-fitting clothing to allow the light to penetrate more deeply.

If you are targeting facial skin health, skip the SPF that day to maximize the effectiveness of your treatment. Additionally, avoid using retinoids and vitamin A products before your RLT session.

Additional instructions will be available when you arrive.
