The Set-Up: a community-wide open call

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at Tia, so for our first public art piece, we're looking for an artist to help us bring our vision to life. We're the new kids on the block, and we fully recognize that. With #TheMakingOf our mural, we're here to listen, learn, and grow with our community as we heal and navigate this new normal together.

The What: a public art piece in the heart of LA, on Sunset Blvd.

Our new clinic in LA is located in the

"Since moving to LA, I've been so captivated by the street art and murals you see everywhere. Street art exists in NYC, but not like LA." - Allie Ball, Head of Design

heart of LA on Sunset Blvd. We knew we had to use the wall outside our space as an opportunity to connect with the local community and share others' stories. We believe that's how we'll start to heal.

Artists!? This is what you need to know!

As part of our

"Choice, self-expression, and participation is core to our mission and in our DNA at Tia. We fully recognize that each individual person is on their own path, and we want to support them in that path that is uniquely theirs." - Allie Ball, Head of Design

commitment to collaboration with our community, we're looking for an artist to help us transform an empty wall into a public art piece.

Where: 3921 Sunset Blvd. in Silver Lake, Los Angeles

What: A 90’ x 32’ wall. Tia is open to covering the wall partially! The wall is not flat and has a 3D texture.

How: We'll be reviewing submissions until 3/19, at which point we will select an artist for the project. The paid project will be scoped with the goal to have the outdoor mural complete by 5/1. Send submissions to paloma@asktia.com .

The Ask: how can we collaborate with our community to make something that helps us heal?

Healing isn't something that just happens in a doctor's office - so we asked, how do we extend the Tia experience beyond our four walls and create something, together. We knew we had this space. We know we have a community of creators. Now the question is, who will help us bring our vision to life for LA, NY, and everywhere in between.

The Details: here's a peek at what we're looking for and how this process will work

Bonus points for artists who identify as: Proud Angelenos with local roots, Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous persons, and LGBTQIA persons
