Emily Rymland, DNP, FNP

As Tia’s Senior Regional Medical Director for California, Emily (Em) brings over three decades of clinical leadership, global health development, and patient advocacy to her role. Em entered medicine not by initial design, but out of a deep conviction to act during the peak of the AIDS epidemic. Unable to sit by during a profound health crisis, she stepped forward-initiating a lifetime of caring for people living with HIV and leading teams united by a shared vision.
A dedicated advocate for underserved communities, Em has also spent the last 10 years establishing vital health systems for remote populations in Western Uganda. She considers her life’s work, both locally and internationally, to be an extraordinary privilege and remains committed to dismantling systemic barriers to care.
