Azin Shahryarinejad, MD

Dr. Shahryarinejad—known as Dr. Shah—is a highly skilled gynecologist with expertise in menopause management, Urogynecology, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. With an extensive background in research, teaching, and advanced surgical care, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered treatment tailored to each woman's unique needs.

She completed her four-year Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, where she was recognized for her exceptional skills and dedication. Among an elite group of residents, she was selected for a prestigious fellowship in Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

After moving to California to support her mother and start her own family, Dr. Shah became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California-Keck School of Medicine. At Keck she spent years teaching and mentoring future OB-GYN residents in advanced surgical techniques. As the Director of Urogynecologic Research, she led studies on the effects of hormones on pelvic ligaments, further advancing the field of women’s health.

Dr. Shah’s expertise includes minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic-assisted da Vinci® surgeries, and uterine-preserving procedures, significantly improving the quality of life for women suffering from pelvic floor disorders. Her commitment to patient care extends beyond the U.S., as she frequently volunteers her medical skills in economically disadvantaged and war-torn regions of West Africa, South America, and Central America.
