What do expect during a menopause & perimenopause assessment

At Tia, this is a consultation based visit to review your medical and medication history, pregnancy history, menstrual history and current symptoms. Your provider will also review your risks and recommended preventative health screening based on age. This visit does not usually include a physical exam but may include orders for additional testing like blood work and imaging.

Potential treatment plans

Depending on diagnosis, treatment plans for menopause & perimenopause can vary. Your provider might recommend:

Lifestyle recommendations like diet and exercise
Prescription medication including but not limited to low dose SSRI (antidepressants), hormone replacement therapy and symptoms specific treatment (hot flashes, vaginal dryness)
Recommendations for age based preventative health screening
Acupuncture
